Contemplation

Max found himself facing up, just staring at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts. He had been through a lot in the past few months, and as much as he wanted it all to disappear, the scars of it all would never go away. It was embedded on his skin, for as long as he lived. Not just from the bear attack, but for allowing himself to let everything spiral out of control. The doppelganger was right; He really did have some personal demons he locked away, and was a fool for trying to fight them and keep them at bay.
